How to Install Custom Wraps on Model Y L
This guide explains how to prepare and load custom wrap files onto your Tesla Model Y L. Follow these steps to ensure your designs appear correctly in the Paint Shop menu.
Which template fits my car?
- The Model Y L is the longer six-seat version of the Model Y.
- It uses a unique body template that differs from the standard Model Y.
- Wraps designed for the regular Model Y will not fit the Model Y L, so you must select files labeled for the Model Y L template.
Install in 3 steps
- 1Copy the PNG into a folder named Wraps on a USB drive (exFAT or FAT32).
- 2Plug the drive into your Tesla.
- 3Open Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps and pick it.
Tips
- Ensure your PNG file is between 512x512 and 1024x1024 pixels and under 1 MB.
- Name your file using only letters, numbers, underscores, or hyphens, keeping it under 30 characters.
- Format your USB drive as exFAT or FAT32, not NTFS, and place files in a folder named 'Wraps' at the root.
- Remember that only Model Y L specific templates will render correctly; standard Model Y wraps will not fit.
